Spinach salad with grilled avocado and Sbrinz AOP

Serves 4

  • 400 g Sbrinz AOP
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 200 g coloured cherry tomatoes
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 lime
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 200 g baby spinach


  1. Heat grill. Dry roast sunflower seeds in pan until golden brown while stirring continuously.
  2. Halve tomatoes. Stone avocados and slice with skin. Press lime. Cut Sbrinz AOP into Möcklis (bite-sized chunks). Mix vinegar, oil, salt and pepper into a dressing.
  3. Place avocados on grill grate and grill for around 3 minutes, turning once. Remove from grill. Sprinkle with lime juice followed by chili flakes.
  4. Marinate spinach and tomatoes in dressing. Add grilled avocado slices, Sbrinz AOP Möcklis and sunflower seeds and serve immediately.
